ORDER

1.         A compromise has been arrived at between the parties with the efforts of Lok Adalat.

2.         Sh.Nitin Thatai, Counsel for OPs, alongwith Sh.Harsimran Singh, Deputy Manager Legal of OPs, has made the following statement, recorded separately;-

“As a special offer for this case only, the OPs offers to pay Rs.1,42,431/- to the complainant, in full and final settlement of the dispute, within 45 days from today. The policy shall stands cancelled after the payment is made. This may not be treated as a precedent for other cases.”

3.         Sh.P.K.Longia, Counsel for Complainant, has accepted the offer and has made the following statement, recorded separately;-

“I accept the offer. The complaint be disposed of accordingly.” 

4.         In view of the above statements, it is ordered that the Opposite Parties (OPs) shall pay Rs.1,42,431/- to the complainant, in full and final settlement of the dispute, within 45 days from today i.e. 24.10.2013, failing which the OPs shall pay the same (Rs.1,42,431/-) along with interest @18% p.a. from the date of this order till the payment is made.

5.         Hence, the complaint is disposed of accordingly.

6.         Certified copy of this order be communicated to the parties free of cost. After compliance file be consigned.
