ORDER

The complainant in this case is a resident of Kakrola, New Delhi-78 which falls under the jurisdiction of South-West district. The complainant had taken a mediclaim insurance policy from OP-1 and on the basis of that taken treatment from OP-2. The Bill raised by OP-2 on the complainant was paid by her and thereafter she  submitted claim for reimbursement to OP-1, which was not honoured.  Admittedly, the complainant is a resident of South-West District which is outside the territorial jurisdiction of this Commission. OP-1 is based at Noida, and also out of the purview of this Commission. No cause of action has arisen in this case against OP-2 as no relief is sought or prayed for from them.

             Accordingly, the complaint is dismissed for want of territorial jurisdiction u/s 34(2) of the Act, 2019 either in relation to complainant or qua OP-1. File be consigned to record room.
