Final Order / Judgement

Today, the case is fixed for reporting of compromise. Ld.counsel for the opposite parties has made a statement recorded separately that the deceased-insured was having credit shield insurance for an amount of Rs.2,50,000/-  and accidental death insurance for Rs.4,00,000/- and insurance company offers an amount of Rs.6,00,000/- as full and final settlement of the claim in respect of the above said insurance  and one month time be given to the insurance company to deposit the above said amount from the date of receipt of copy of the  order. The counsel for the complainant also suffered  statement  that  he has heard the statement of  counsel for the Insurance Company and  as per the telephonic instructions received from  his client the same is acceptable to him  and he has no objection if the complaint is disposed of accordingly.

In view of the aforesaid statements of Ld.counsel for the parties, the present complaint is disposed of with the direction to the opposite party-Insurance Company to pay  a sum of Rs.6,00,000/- as agreed to the complainant within one month from the date of receipt of copy of order,  failing which the opposite parties will be liable to pay interest @ 9% per annum on the aforesaid amount of Rs.6,00,000/- from today till payment. File be consigned to record.
