Final Order / Judgement

Order No. 3                            Dated: 21.05.2024

Today is fixed for admission hearing.

Ld. Advocate for the complainant is present.  On perusal of the complaint petition it appears that complainant purchased a Group Assurance Health Plan from the HDFC Argo General Insurance Co. Ltd. on 17.05.2021 with sum insured Rs.15,00,000/- with a gross premium of Rs.23,856/- for the period of 17.05.2021 to midnight of 16.05.2022, and after renewal 16.05.2022 to midnight of 16.05.2023 and lastly in the third year from 17.05.2023 to midnight on 16.05.2024 and the amount of premium was increased and Rs.37,779/- was automatically deducted from the complainant’s Savings Bank A/c bearing No. 50160010140653 from Bandhan Bank, CIT Road Branch through ECS mandate.  Admittedly the instant complaint was instituted on 13.05.2024.

In view of the above, we are of the opinion that the Consumer Complaint filed by the complainant on 13.05.2024 is  a premature one and as such we are not inclined to admit the instant Consumer Complaint at this stage and rejected accordingly.

However, the complainants are at liberty to file afresh in due course on the same cause of action if so advised, and if not, otherwise barred by law.

MA/236/2024 filed by the complainant on 16.05.2024 stands dismissed.
