Final Order / Judgement

Order No. 07             Dated: 16.12.2022

As per email dt. 16.12.2022 of State Commission, the record of the case is referred to the Lok Adalat for settlement scheduled to be held on today.

Consumer  Case No. CC/261 of 2022

Date : 16.12.2022

Matter is placed before the Lok Adalat (Grahak Madhyastata Samadhan) as per order dated 28.11.2022 of this Commission.

Both the parties are present with their respective Advocates.

Heard the parties present as to settlement of the dispute in between the parties.

During hearing it is submitted for the complainants that due to conduct of the OP Bank the complainants have suffered loss and accordingly complainants are entitled to be compensated by the OPs for non receipt of Welcome Kit to the address of the complainants despite the fact that the complainants made necessary compliances as asked by the OPs and accordingly prays for compensation and litigation cost.

Authorized Representative of the OP Bank submits that the Bank has already hand over the Welcome Kit consisting of S.B. A/c Passbook etc.

For conclusion of the matter the Representative of the OPs propose that the OP Bank may make payment an amount of Rs.2,000/- only as litigation cost instead of compensation. The complainant has raised no objection on that proposal

In view of the above, the OPs are directed to pay an amount of Rs.2,000/- only to the complainants as litigation cost within 15 days from the date of this order.

The CDF Unit-II CC No. 261/2022 is thus disposed on settlement.  The complainant is at liberty to put the matter in Execution if the OPs transgress to comply the order.

Note in the relevant register accordingly.
