                                                            ORDER

                        Sh.Bachan Singh, Law Officer of OP has received payment of Rs.56,808/- (Rs.56,800/- vide draft dated 15.5.2010 and Rs.8/- in cash) from the complainant. He has stated that OP deposited Rs.27,500/- with the Hon’ble State Commission at the time of filing the appeal No.370 of 2009, and prayed that the same may kindly be refunded to OP through cheque in favour of Registrar, Punjab University, Chandigarh. The complainant has agreed to the submissions made by OP. Statement of both the parties to that effect has been recorded separately.

                        Let a request be sent to the Secretary, State Commission, U.T. Chandigarh, to release the amount of Rs.27,500/- in favour of OP – Registrar, Punjab University, Chandigarh, and deposit the cheque in this Forum for onward transmission to the OP. However, on receiving the cheque from the State Commission, the OP be intimated to collect the cheque.

                        The complainant has made a request for releasing the surety papers of property, which were deposited with this Forum at the time of receiving the amount.  The papers be released. The Registering Authority, U.T. Chandigarh is permitted to sale the vehicle (Motor Cycle) bearing Registration No.CH04-J8892 make Pulsar 150 and intimation be also sent to Collector Chandigarh/Registration, Chandigarh, to allow sale of Khasra No.44//19/1(6-9). 

                        Copy of this order free of cost be supplied to the parties as well as Registering Authority(Motor Vehicles) and Registration Officer, Estate Office, U.T. Chandigarh. After compliance, the file be consigned.
