 ORDER

1)    That the complaint be and the same is allowed in part, on contest against the O.P. Company with cost.

2)   That the O.Ps. are directed jointly and severally to replace the defective washing machine with a new one of the same model, price and standard, free from fault, or alternatively, to refund the entire price paid by the complainant with 9% interest on the amount from 10/02/2014 till realization with the return of the old washing machine of the complainant,

within one month from the date of this order.

3)   That the O.Ps. are directed jointly and severally to pay to the complainant an amount of Rs 18000/- (Eighteen Thousand) @ Rs 1000/- per month from March, 2014 to August, 2015) for additional expenses incurred by the complainant on a/c of maid-servant, within one month from the date of this order failing which O.Ps. shall have to pay interest on the amount @ 9% after expiry of the specified period till realization.

4)   That the O.Ps. are directed jointly and severally to pay to the complainant an amount of Rs 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) as compensation for physical harassment and mental agony of the patient-complainant and Rs 5000/- (Five Thousand) as suit cost, within one month from the date of this order.

5)    That in case of non-compliance of order no.4 above, the O.Ps. shall have to pay jointly and severally, an amount of Rs 200/-(Two Hundred) per day, to be reckoned after the expiry of the specified period, as punitive damages, to be deposited with the State Consumer Welfare Fund
