Consumer Complaint No.172 of 2012

 

Indu Rani               Vs.     First India School of Business (FIBS)

 

PRESENT:

Dated the 24th day of August, 2012

 

ORDER

1.         A compromise has been arrived at between the parties with the efforts of Lok Adalat. Sh.Vinay Singh-Marketing Manager of OP has made the following statement, recorded separately:-

“The OP offers to pay a sum of Rs.20,000/- to the complainant in full and final settlement of the dispute and offers a cheque No.935971, dated 24.8.2012 for a sum of Rs.20,000/- in favour of Indu Rani drawn on State Bank of India”

 

2.         Sh.Gaurav Bhardwaj-Counsel for Complainant has accepted the offer and made the following statement, recorded separately:-

“I accept the offer. I have received a cheque No.935971, dated 24.8.2012 for a sum of Rs.20,000/- in favour of Indu Rani(complainant) drawn on State Bank of India. As the OP has redressed the grouse of the complainant, so now the complainant does not want to pursue this complaint. It be dismissed as withdrawn, subject to realization of cheque in question”

 

3.         In view of the above statements, this complaint is dismissed as withdrawn, subject to realization of cheque of Rs.20,000/-, as indicated above in the statements. The complainant shall be at liberty to file a fresh complaint if the said cheque is not honoured.

4.         Certified copy of this order be communicated to the parties free of cost. After compliance file be consigned.
