ORDER BY HON’BLE PRESIDENT- MR. P. K. PADHI:

                                                                                               JUDGMENT

            Complainant has filed this consumer complaint U/s.12 of C.P. Act, 1986 seeking following reliefs;

            “Direct the opposite party for revision of the holding tax as per Municipal Act”.

            The brief fact of the case is that the complainant is the owner of holding No.236 and she maintaining her livelyhood by establishing a mess which numbered as 236. The opposite party has not supplied the electric light and municipality sweeper has not clean the road and there is no drainage system but the opposite party imposed holding tax @ Rs.16,121/- and issued notice on 27.12.2019 bearing No.5358 demanding payment of tax amounting to Rs.64,849/- otherwise they will take action against the complainant as per law.

            The opposite party did not appear for which set ex-parte on 19.10.2022. Complainant is also absent after filing of the case.

            The grievance relates to revision of holding tax for which no consideration has been paid. Besides that there is provision of appeal under Orissa Municipality Act as such this Commission lacks jurisdiction to entertain the present application. Hence the consumer complaint is dismissed. No cost.
