Janardan Pandit filed a consumer case on 28 Sep 2024 against Executive Engineer, South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited in the Jehanabad Consumer Court. The case no is CC/43/2023 and the judgment uploaded on 08 Oct 2024.

Present consumer complaint has been filed under section 35 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 alleging deficiency in service from the part of the OP through serving an exorbitant bill dated 02.07.2023 for the month of July, 2023 with demand of Rs. 15,267/- payable till 27.07.2023. Complainant case in nutshell is after payment of the bill for the month up to march exorbitant bills stated serving to him hence this complaint.
From perusal of the written version cum show cause alongwith the copy of letter no. 1419 dated 12.08.2024 of the EE, Jehanabad addressed to this commission it appears that the earlier bills being served to the complainant on the basis of average consumption subsequent thereoff the bills were being prepared on the actual consumption of the Electrical enery. After making necessary correction a demand of Rs.16,386/- only up to the month of Aug, 2024 is due.
As such demand of Rs.15,267/- up to the month of July 2023 stands reduced and adjusted with a demand of Rs. 16,386/- upto the month of August, 2024 i.e. Period of almost 1 year and 1 month from the earlier bill under challenge.
As such the relief of sought by the complainant has already been granted. As such the present complaint is disposed off as grievance redressed.
In the light of the above order OP is directed to issue a fresh updated bill to which the complainant must pay within due date stated in the bill.
