Shri S.L. Behera, President :- The brief facts of the complaint case is that, the complainant is a consumer of the O.Ps. bearing Consumer No. 417001032392 used for lift irrigation point and consumer No.417001110452 used for his hotel business. He was paying the electricity bills regularly to the O.Ps till December,2015. Thereafter the O.Ps. could not issue the electric bill for the month of January and February,2016 for which the complainant went to the office of the O.P.No.2 where he was assured that for some technical defect bills are not issued. But all of sudden on dt.07.03.2016 at about 10 Am the O.P.No.2 with his staff came to complainant’s lift Irrigation point and Hotel and disconnect the electric connection. The complainant rushed to the O.P.No.2 and received the bill on 08.03.2016 and paid Rs.1851/- only and Rs.4918/- only. After receiving money the O.P.No.2 not connected the line till dt.10.03.2016. Due to disconnection of line the complainant suffered heavy financial loss, hence this case.
On service of notice, the O.Ps appeared and filed Written Version through his counsel admitting the facts of electricity connection and submitted that the complainant is a consumer vide consumer No. 417001110452 and the another consumer No. 417001032392 is in the name of Sushanka Sekhar Badhei. The O.P submitted that the complainant is habitual defaulter of electricity bills. The consumer No. 417001032392 is having outstanding dues of Rs.3781/- upto October,2015 and Rs.27,132/- only is due with the another consumer No. 417001110452. Due to nonpayment the line was disconnected and after payment on 08.03.2016 the line was reconnected on 10.03.2016. There are two connections in the different names for which the case should be dismissed for non-maintainability.
Perused the case record and gone through the materials available. The complainant has filed a case for two numbers of electrical connections i.e. Consumer No. 417001032392 and Consumer No.417001110452. The consumer No. 417001032392 is in the name of Sushanka Sekhar Badhai of Junanimunda, Brajrajnagar of category irrigation pump and agriculture and the consumer No. 417001110452 is in the name of complainant having category general purpose (LT). The complainant filed case for the consumer number of some other ones along with his case which should be filed separately by the said person having other consumer number. The O.ps. disconnected the electricity line due to nonpayment of arrear bills and again reconnected after payment of bills.
On the above facts and circumstances, there is no merit found on the part of complainant, hence the case is dismissed with no costs.
Accordingly the case is disposed of.
Order pronounced in the open court today the 13th day of December” 2016 and copy of this order shall be supplied to the parties as per rule.
