            Advocate for the complainant found absent on call. Authorized person for opposite party is present. Heard.

            Complainant has filed the consumer complaint U/s.35 of C.P. Act, 2019 seeking payment of EPF amount deposited vide A/c No.12686 and pay compensation of Rs.50,000/- towards mental agony. 

            The complainant was working in west Bengal and contributing to EPFO West Bengal, Kolkata but impleaded EPFO, Odisha as opposite party, who are not aware to the case of complainant. Besides that EPFO is a separate statute having it’s statutory authority to adjudicate the EPF Dispute. Nonpayment of amount deposited in EPFO is not coming within the purview of C.P. Act, 2019. Hence we are found no merit in the consumer complaint and accordingly the consumer complaint is dismissed. No cost.

            However liberty is given to complainant to approach appropriate authority to settle his grievance.
