ORDER

 

 

 

  1. When the matter was taken up by the State Commission on 02.07.2024, counsel for the opposite parties apprised the State Commission that the talks regarding compromise were going on between the parties. On the adjourned date, counsel for the opposite parties again apprised the State Commission that talks regarding compromise were going on and accordingly requested for a short adjournment. On the previous date, counsel for the parties submitted that the parties had since entered into an amicable settlement.
  2. Counsel appearing for the opposite parties has stated that the opposite parties have paid a sum of Rs.2,76,771.50p vide demand draft No.531382 dated 20.11.2024 and another demand draft No.531383 dated 20.11.2024 for similar amount to the complainants in terms of the settlement arrived at between the parties. The demand drafts are handed over to Shri Krishan Lal and Shri Amandeep Bishnoi respectively and photocopies of the demand drafts retained on the file.
  3. Counsel appearing for the complainants has accepted the aforementioned two demand drafts and states that in view of the said development, the complainants be permitted to withdraw the present complaint.
  4. In view of the above, the complaint is hereby dismissed as withdrawn.
  5. However, the parties shall remain bound by the terms and conditions of the settlement deed.
  6. Application(s) pending, if any, stand disposed of in terms of the aforesaid order.
  7. A copy of this order be provided to all the parties free of cost as mandated by the law. The order be uploaded forthwith on the website of the Commission for the perusal of the parties.
  8. File be consigned to record room along with a copy of this order.
