This consumer complaint has been filed under section 17 of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 prays this Commission to direct the opposite parties to pay a sum of Rs.10,65,000/- towards compensation for delay in handing over the completed apartment CCE053 to the complainant, Rs.1,34,334.95/- towards reimbursement of maintenance charges, Rs.11,17,882/- towards reimbursement of increase in Super Area charges, Rs.9,86,125.18/- towards reimbursement of charges for contingency deposit, delayed interest, utilities, others and service tax which were wrongfully levied and collected from the complainants, Rs.2,00,000/- towards compensation for sub-standard workmanship and poor quality of construction of the apartment CCE053, Rs.17,85,195/- towards reimbursement for stamp duty and registration fees, Rs.5,00,000/- towards compensation for mental agony and distress suffered by the complainants and with cost of Rs.1,00,000/- to the complainants and this consumer complaint has come up before us on 24.02.2023 at the stage of arguments (in list) and this Commission made the following Order in open court:
