For the Opposite Parties: Sh.Ajay Gulati, Advocate.
Today Smt.Rajpreet Kaur complainant alongwith Sh.Karan Sachdeva, Advocate appeared and moved an application for putting up the matter today because the complainant has settled the dispute with the Opposite Party. In view of this, the mater is put upto day. The complainant has made the following statement before this District Consumer Commission.
“Stated that I have effected compromise with the opposite party insurance company on my behalf and on behalf of my husband Gursewak Singh and have agreed to receive total Rs.3,00,000/- in lump sum out of the claimed amount today I have received two drafts bearing no.709332 dated 18.12.2021 for Rs. 70,000/- and draft bearing no. 709333 dated 18.12.2021 for Rs.2,30,000/- both drawn on HDFC Bank Ltd. from Ajay Gualti, Adv. counsel for opposite party insurance company totaling Rs.3,00,000/- (three lakhs only) as full and final settlement towards the insurance policy in question and now I and my husband Gursewak Singh have no claim pending against the said policy and against the opposite party insurance company. Hence I withdraw the present complaint, subject to encashment of above mentioned DDs. The copies of the DDs is enclosed herewith.
On the other hand, Sh. Ajay Gulati, Advocate counsel for the opposite party nos.1 & 2 made a following statement:-
“Stated that the above said statement of Smt. Rajpreet Kaur complainant is correct.”
In view of the aforesaid statement of the complainant recorded today separately before this District Consumer Commission, the present complaint stands dismissed as withdrawn being fully satisfied. Copies of this order be supplied to the parties free of costs and thereafter, the file be consigned to record room.
