This appeal has arisen against the order dated 31.12.2001 passed by Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, A&N Islands, Port Blair in C.D Case No.20 of 2001. The complainant appellant has been awarded compensation of Rs.1000/- for harassment and deficiency of the service from the opposite party respondents.

Hearing the Ld Advocate appearing for the parties, We think and hold that the claimant was compensated by the District Forum adequately and hence no interference is called for, Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, we dispose of the appeal without any escalation of the compensation awarded by the Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, Port Blair.

On the facts and circumstances, there will be no order at to cost.
