CONSUMER COMPLAINT NO. 675  OF  2019

AWARD

1.   Vide his separate statement already made on 12.12.2022, Sh.Bhushan Sharma, Manager Branch Operations/Authorized Representative of OPs has stated that the matter has been settled between the parties and as per amicable settlement, surrender value of Rs.78,167/- will be transferred in the account of the complainant on or before 23.12.2022 subject to the furnishing of the requisite documents and the Insurance Company will get all the formalities completed from the complainant in its office at Chandigarh. Vide his separate statement already made on 12.12.2022, the complainant has admitted the statement of authorized representative of OPs and prayed that the complaint be disposed off in terms of aforesaid settlement in Grahak Madhyastata Samadhan on 16.12.2022.

2.   In view of the statement of the parties and in terms of the settlement, the complaint stands disposed off by passing the following order:-

     (i)  OPs shall transfer surrender value of Rs.78,167/- in      the account of the complainant on or before 23.12.2022   subject to the furnishing of the requisite documents and the Insurance Company will get all the formalities     completed from the complainant in its office at      Chandigarh.

     (ii) In case the aforesaid amount is not paid by the OPs within the stipulated period, then OPs shall be liable to pay the same alongwith interest @ 9% p.a. from the date of filing of present consumer complaint i.e.      04.07.2019 till its realization.

3.   The award is accordingly passed.

4.   Certified copies of this order be sent to the parties free of cost. The file be consigned.
