| Final Order / Judgement | The Ld. Advocate of the OPs and the Ld. Advocate of the complainant are present. The record is placed before this Lok Adalat as per official arrangement made by the Registrar of this establishment. It is ascertained from the record that Rs. 2, 00,000/- was advanced by the complainant for purchasing a dwelling unit in ‘Royal Enclave’ of the OPs. However, the project could not proceed and did not see the light of the day. The Ld. Advocate of the OP agrees to cause refund of the paid amount with some interest and compensation. After having talks with the Ld. Advocates on both sides, Rs. 65,000/- fixed for compensation / interest. As such, the liability for making payment of Rs. 2, 65,000/- arises on the part of the OPs. The Ld. Advocates on both sides concur with the proposal. The case is thus disposed of by way of settlement in Lok Adalat with the following directions:- The OPs will return Rs. 2,00,000/- + Rs. 65,000/- totaling Rs. 2,65,000/- within a period of 45 days from this date of order failing which the amount will accrue interest @12% p.a. | |
