ORDER

Petitioner’s electric meter was checked in the presence of the petitioner’s representative.  Seals on MCB were found to be tampered and some adhesive was applied.  The meter was removed and supply was disconnected.  Notice was issued to the petitioner to pay Rs.1,80,513/- to which the petitioner filed his objections within the prescribed time and also requested the respondent to get the meter checked from M & T Lab.  The meter was got checked from the M & T Lab in the presence of petitioner’s representative.  The M & T Lab reported that there was tampering with the meter.

          Petitioner being aggrieved filed the complaint before the District Forum, which was dismissed.

          Being aggrieved, petitioner filed the appeal before the State Commission, which has been dismissed by the impugned order.

          We find no infirmity in the order passed by the fora below.  The electric meter was checked by the officials of the respondent in the presence of petitioner’s representative.  It was found to be tampered with.  The meter was sent to the M & T Lab which confirmed the findings recorded by the inspecting team to the effect that the meter had been tampered with.  Petitioner has failed to lead any evidence to show that the report submitted by the laboratory was incorrect.  No merits.  Dismissed.
