AWARD

1.   Vide his separate statement recorded on 08.04.2024, Sh.Gaurav Bhardwaj, Counsel for OPs has stated that the matter has been settled between the parties and as per settlement, the OPs shall refund premium amount of Rs.15,650/- to the complainant within a period of four weeks from 08.04.2024 in full and final settlement of the present matter, failing which the OPs shall be liable to pay the aforesaid amount alongwith interest @ 9% p.a. from the date of filing of present consumer complaint. Vide his separate statement recorded on 08.04.2024, Sh.Raminder Singh Dhaliwal, Counsel for Complainant has admitted the aforesaid statement of counsel for OPs and prayed that the complaint be disposed of in terms of aforesaid settlement in National Lok Adalat.

2.   In view of the statements of the counsels for the parties and in terms of the settlement, the complaint stands disposed of by passing the following order:-

1. OPs shall refund premium amount of Rs.15,650/- to the complainant within a period of four weeks from 08.04.2024.
2. In case OPs fail to pay the aforesaid amount within the stipulated period, then OPs shall be liable to pay the same alongwith interest @ 9% p.a. from the date of filing of present consumer complaint i.e. 03.08.2023 till the payment is made.

3.   The award is accordingly passed.

4.   Certified copies of this order be sent to the parties free of cost. The file be consigned.
