HON’BLE JUSTICE SRI. K. SURENDRA MOHAN : PRESIDENT

This is a petition seeking transfer of C.C. No. 180/2023 pending before the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (District Commission for short), Palakkad to the District Commission, Ernakulam.  Though notices were issued to the respondents, notice has been served on the 1^st respondent, but there is no appearance for them.  Notice issued to the 2^nd respondent was returned with the endorsement ‘not known’.  Therefore it is presumed that they have no objection to the transfer.  The counsel for the petitioner submits that the transfer would be convenient to both the parties.  In view of the above, this petition is allowed.  C.C. No. 180/2023 pending before the District Commission, Palakkad is transferred to the District Commission, Ernakulam.  The District Commission, Ernakulam shall renumber the case and shall try and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible.
