                                                                              JUDGMENT

                                The facts of the complaint  in brief is that,  the complainant has deposited Rs.52,750/- on dt.26.11.2012 at Ops office and the OP has issued certificate bearing No.361001436050 vide A/c No.24214202377  in favour of the complainant and the said account has been matured on dt.26.11.2016 but till date the Ops have not paid the maturity amount  to the complainant. The complainant contacted the  Ops from time to time  but the Ops  has paid a deaf ear  and due to non payment of the said amount the complainant sustained mental agony  and hence prayed to direct the Ops to  pay the maturity amount with up to date interest  and to pay compensation for mental agony for harassment and grant such other relief as the forum deems fit and proper. Hence, this complaint.

                                 On being noticed,   neither the O.ps appeared nor filed any  written version as such they were set exparte and  in absence of any written version from the opposite party we proceeded  the matter exparte and  believed  the allegations of the complainant  and  hence, we passed the order and  dispose of the matter with the following directions.

                                                                       ORDER

                                The  opposite parties  are  directed to  pay  the  maturity amount against the deposited amount of  Rs.52,750/-and pay  compensation of Rs.5000/-  for mental agony undergone by the complainant and cost of Rs.1500/-  within one month from the date of receipt of this order, failing which the O.Ps are liable to pay  interest  @  12%  p.a. on the above awarded amount till  the date of payment.

                                Pronounced in open forum today on this 30^th   day of August,2017 under the seal and signature of this forum.

                                 A copy of this order as per the statutory requirements , be forwarded to the parties    free of charge.
