Ms. Meenakshi Midha, learned counsel representing the opposite party/Insurance Company under instructions states that the opposite party will issue a fresh cheque in the sum of Rs. 56,00,000/- (i.e. Rs. 51 lacs towards the principal amount and Rs. 5 lacs as lump sum amount towards interest) against policy No. 713235 and a sum of Rs. 1,00,000/- towards policy No. 001347669.

2.        Mr. Pattjoshi, learned counsel for the complainant under instructions states that the offer made on behalf of the opposite party/Insurance Company is acceptable to the complainant and states that the complaint may be disposed of in terms of the said settlement.

3.        In view of the settlement reached between the parties, the complaint is disposed of with the direction to the opposite party/Insurance Company to pay a sum of Rs. 57,00,000/- (Rupees fifty seven lacs) by means of Demand Draft directly to the complainant within a period of four weeks from today.

           Parties are left to bear their own cost.
