The Grievances of the Complainant in the instant case is that, the premium amount was not refunded to him after he had surrendered the policy. Though the Complaint is titled Clarification, however the content of the letter reveals that the Complainant had paid the premium of Rs 47,167/-, Upon surrendering the policy an amount of Rs 18,733 was refunded by crediting in his account. As stated above, the Complainant approached this Commission being baffled with the refund of the premium amount. It will be not necessary for this Commission to deal with the intricacy of the dispute, for the reason the Learned counsel for the Opposite Party Smti A.Syiem submits that she has instruction that the Opposite Party No 1 is willing to refund the premium amount of Rs 47,167/-. The Opposite Party had already refunded Rs 18,733 by crediting the money in the account of the Complainant. The balance amount of Rs 28,434/- shall be paid by the Opposite Party to the Complainant within 45 days from the date of receipt of this Order. If the Opposite Party fails to pay the balance money within the stipulated period, the case shall be revived without any further order. Case is disposed off.
