The petition was filed on 04/08/2014. The case of the complainant is that he has a telephone which bearing number 0495 2236574 issued by the opposite party. And he applied for internet connection of BSNL for a period of one year by paying Rs.11,745/-. Afterwards he started business through internet with Geojit BNB Paribas. But due to the non availability of internet he could not fulfill his business thus he sustained loss in business and the net connection became worthless due to the service deficiency on the part of the opposite party.
In the above matter notice were issued to both parties which served on them but opposite party not turned up. Hence opposite party set-exparte on 19/11/2014.
Complainant filed chief affidavit and examined as PW1 exhibit A1 to A4 were marked. There was no cross examination of complainant or documents on the part of the opposite party. Thus the complainant proved his case before this forum. In the result petition is partly allowed.
Therefore we are of the opinion that the opposite party liable to return Rs.11,745/- which paid towards internet connection and to pay Rs.2000/- as cost. The opposite party is directed to pay the amount within one month from the date of order.
