The complainant’s case is as follows: On 27.8.05 the complainant had purchased a Bajaj Discover bike from the respondent on hire purchase agreement No.436/009683. The registration number of the said bike is KL-9AG-208. At the time of availing loan the respondent kept the original R.C. book with them and told that it will be returned when the loan was closed. The period of the loan was 36 instalments and the complainant had paid the 36th instalment on 5.11.08. After the loan was closed the complainant demanded to return original R.C. book and termination letter. But delayed the same by saying one or other reasons. Without getting the original R.C. book and termination letter she is unable to sell the bike and lost her customers. Hence the complaint.
2. The respondent is called absent and set exparte.
3. To prove the case of the complainant she filed affidavit and produced Ext. P1 document.
4. According to the complainant, she had executed a hire purchase agreement with the respondent for the purchase of a Bajaj Discover bike. The agreement was for 36 instalments and the complainant had paid the 36th instalment on 5.11.08. After the closure of the loan she demanded the respondent to return his original R.C. book and to issue termination letter. But not done so.
5. There is no evidence to the contrary.

In the result the complaint is allowed and the respondent is directed to issue original R.C. book of KL-8AG 208 vehicle, termination letter and N.O.C. and also to pay Rs.2000/- (Rupees two thousand only) as compensation and Rs.500/- (Rupees five hundred only) as costs within two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
