Counsel for the complainant and the opposite party have filed a joint memo reporting settlement of the claim of the complainant wherein the opposite party has agreed to refund the premium amount of Rs.15,000/- paid by the complainant deducting stamp duty of Rs.30/- from out of it and thus a sum of Rs.14970/- becomes payable to the complainant. Counsel for the complainant has agreed to receive the said amount and there by both of them submitted for disposal of the complaint in terms of joint memo. In view of the joint memo, compliant is disposed off in the following terms.<br /> 1. The opposite party is directed to pay Rs.14,970/- within 15 days from the date of this order failing which they shall pay interest at 12% p.a. from the date of this compliant till the date of payment.<br /> 2. The opposite party shall also pay cost of Rs.500/- to the complainant.<br /> 3. Give a copy of this order to both the parties according to Rules.<br />
