        The matter has been settled between the parties before Delhi Government Mediation and Conciliation Centre on 24.04.2015. The settlement agreement jointly signed by the parties is also received.

        The complainant states that he has signed the settlement dated 24.04.2015 at point A on each page.

        Counsel for the OP submits on behalf of OP it has been signed by the Divisional Head OP in his presence.

        The settlement dated 24.04.2015 is Exhibited as Ex-C1.

In terms of settlement Ex-C1, FDR of Rs. 19,25,199/- in the name of the minor child, namely, Ms. Shridhi Gupta under the guardianship of Sh. Deepak Gupta i.e. complainant has handed over to him in this Commission.

        As per clause 2 of the settlement Ex-C1, it has been settled between the parties that Ms. Shridhi Gupta, will be able to encash the fixed deposit on attaining the age of majority.

        The complainant is the father of Shridhi Gupta, who states that the date of maturity of FDR is 08.03.2022 and on that date his daughter will attain the age of majority.

        Counsel for the OP submits that the bank be directed not to release the amount prior to the date of maturity. The complainant has not opposed the request made.

        In view of the settlement Ex-C1 between the parties, the directions are issued to the Oriental Bank of Commerce, Connaught Place, A-Block, New Delhi wherein the ‘Term Deposit’ is made, not to release the amount till the child attains the age of majority i.e. 08.03.2022.

        Since the parties have amicably settled the matter, the present complaint stands disposed of in terms of settlement Exhibit C-1.

        Parties shall remain bound by the terms of settlement.

        File be consigned to record room.
