ORDER

SRI.P.V.JAYARAJAN        : PRESIDENT

              This complaint filed under section 35 of Consumer Protection Act 2019 and stood over to this date for consideration and this Commission passed the following order.

 

                     2.     This is a complaint filed by the complainant against the opposite parties alleging deficiency in service on the part of the opposite parties. After admitting the complaint notice was issued to the opposite party and the same was accepted by the opposite party and accordingly entered appearance before this Commission and sought time for settling the matter. When the case came up for consideration today a memo of settlement was filed by both the parties. The said memo of settlement contains the signature of both parties. The memo of settlement filed by the parties to the dispute is accepted and recorded. As per the memo of settlement the matter was settled for Rs.41,000/- (Rupees forty one thousand only) and the same has to be deposited by the opposite party within three months from the date of receipt of this order failing which the amount shall carry interest at the rate of 6% per annum from the date of the order.

              In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties to the dispute, we find that this is a fit case to be dismissed as settled.

              In the result, the complaint is dismissed as settled. The memo of settlement signed by both parties dated 25.04.2022 shall form part of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.

             A copy of this order as per the statutory requirements be forwarded to the parties free of charge and thereafter the file be consigned to the record room.

                 Dictated to the Confidential Assistant, transcribed by her, corrected by me and pronounced in the Open Commission, this the 27th day of April 2022.
