CONSUMER COMPLAINT NO. 51  OF  2023

AWARD

1.        Vide his separate statement recorded on 12.05.2023, Sh.Preet Harinder Singh Pannu, Counsel for OPs has stated that the matter has been settled between the parties and as per settlement, the OPs shall pay a lumpsum amount of Rs.72,000/- to the complainant within a period of 30 days from 12.05.2023 in full and final settlement of the present matter, failing which the OPs shall be liable to pay the aforesaid amount alongwith interest @ 12% p.a. from the date of filing of present consumer complaint. Vide his separate statement recorded on 12.05.2023, the complainant has admitted the aforesaid statement of counsel for OPs and prayed that the complaint be disposed off in terms of aforesaid settlement.

2.        In view of the aforesaid statements and in terms of the settlement, the complaint stands disposed off by passing the following order:-

     (i)  The OPs shall pay a lumpsum amount of Rs.72,000/- to      the complainant within a period of 30 days from     12.05.2023.

     (ii) In case OPs fail to pay the aforesaid amount    within the stipulated period, then OPs shall be liable to pay the aforesaid amount alongwith interest @ 12% p.a.     from the date of filing of present consumer complaint     i.e. 01.02.2023 till its realization.

3.        The award is accordingly passed.

4.        Certified copies of this order be sent to the parties free of cost. The file be consigned.
