The opposite party has filed the present revision for challenging the order dated 16.11.2018 passed by learned District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, Ambala, whereby it has been ordered to be proceeded against ex parte as it had not put in appearance on the date fixed for its appearance.

2.      Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though the learned counsel representing the petitioner wanted to put in appearance but for reasons beyond his control, he could not reach the learned District Forum in time and resultantly, the learned District Forum ordered for proceeding ex parte against it. It is further submitted that one more opportunity be granted to the petitioner to put in appearance before the learned District Forum.

3.      Without commenting upon the stand taken by the petitioner but in the interest of justice, it would be worthwhile to grant one more opportunity to the petitioner to put in appearance before the learned District Forum.

4.      Resultantly, the revision petition is disposed of by granting one more opportunity to the petitioner to put in appearance before the learned District Forum subject to cost of Rs.2,000/- to be paid to the complainant by the petitioner-opposite party on the date fixed.

5.      Copy of this order be sent to the District Forum.
