The complaint was filed by the complainant U/S 12 of the Consumer Protection Act 1986 alleging deficiency in service against the opposite party for debiting a sum of Rs.66,195/- from his Saving Bank Account along with a prayer to direct the opposite party to refund the sum of Rs.66,195/- debited from his account and to pay a sum of Rs.5,00,000/-towards compensation for the mental agony and financial loss caused to the complainant along with cost of the proceedings.
No representation for the complainant. No proof affidavit was filed. Sufficient opportunities given. Information from Commission also sent. Opposite party filed proof affidavit. Hence, this court is of the opinion that no purpose will be served on keeping the complaint on file. Hence, Consumer Complaint dismissed for non prosecution. No cost.
