By Smt. Padmini Sudheesh, President:<br /> <br /> The petitioner’s case is as follows:<br /> <br /> The petitioner is a consumer of electricity vide No.6097. The petitioner is running the institution for his livelihood. On 29.3.08 the respondents had given the petitioner a notice to pay Rs.6480/-. The amount demanded is for additional security deposit. It is baseless and the respondents do not reveal any reason. The respondents intimated that if the amount is not paid, they will disconnect the electricity. Hence the petition. <br /> <br /> 2. The respondents are called absent and set exparte.<br /> <br /> 3. To prove the case of the petitioner, he has filed an affidavit and the document produced by him is marked as Ext. P1.<br /> <br /> 4. Heard the counsel. <br /> 5. According to the petitioner, he is not liable to pay any amount as additional security deposit, hence cancel the bill and not to disconnect the electricity connection. He also claims compensation and costs. There is no counter evidence to the evidence of the petitioner. <br /> <br /> 6. So the petition is allowed and the respondents are directed to cancel the amount Rs.6480/- (Rupees six thousand four hundred and eighty only) for additional security deposit and not to disconnect the electricity. No order as to compensation and costs.
