By Smt. Padmini Sudheesh, President<br /> <br /> Petitioner’s case is as follows:<br /> The petitioner is a consumer of respondent vide consumer No.2124. The petitioner is an owner of Hotel. He earns for his livelihood from it. The respondent issued a notice demanding an amount of Rs.8370/- as additional security without any basis. They told that if the amount is not paid, they will disconnect the electricity. Hence the petition. The respondents called absent and set exparte.<br /> <br /> 2. To prove the case of the petitioner, he has filed an affidavit and the document produced by him marked as Exhibit P1.<br /> <br /> 3. Heard the counsel.<br /> <br /> 4. According to the petitioner he is not liable to deposit the amount. He also claims cost and compensation.<br /> <br /> 5. There is no evidence to the contrary.<br /> <br /> <br /> 6. In the result complaint is allowed and the impugned notice is set aside and the respondent is directed not to disconnect the electricity by demanding the alleged amount and also directed to pay Rs.500/- as costs.
