Order No.02.
Dt.06/02/2018
Record is put up for hearing of the application for restoration of electric connection. Said petition is taken up for hearing in presence of Ld. Lawyer for the complainant. Perused the petition along with the petition of complaint of C.C. 15/2018 and the documents filed there with. Heard Ld. Lawyer for the complainant. Considered.
Complainant’s case in brief is that she is a consumer of STW service connection vide consumer I.D. no.21224813 under the O.P. and by such connection she cultivates her land and maintains her family. On 03/07/2013 her service connection was disconnected by the O.P. for non payment of electric bill. On 21/12/2016, O.P. sent a notice to the complainant demanding payment of outstanding demand of Rs. 22,569/-. Complainant paid the said amount and the O.P. reconnected electric service connection on 10/02/2017. Surprisingly on 30/07/2017, O.P. sent a electric bill of Rs.1,73,368/- and again on 03/09/2017 O.P. sent another bill of Rs.1,73,485/-. It is stated that those bills are exaggerated and the O.P. no.1 suddenly disconnected the service connection on 10/01/2018, thereby causing unnecessary harassment to the complainant. Hence the complaint and application for restoration of electric service connection.
Contd.................P/2
( 2 )
It appears that the complainant has made out a prima-facie case and if the electric service connection is not restored to her, the complainant will suffer irreparable loss.
Hence it is,
ORDERED
that complainant’s petition for restoration of electric service connection is allowed exparte on condition that the complainant will deposit Rs.40,000/- towards outstanding electric bill and on such deposit being made, the O.P. shall restore electric service connection of the complainant within three days.
Thus the J. Misc case no.16/2018 is accordingly disposed of.
Case record of the J. Misc. case be tagged with C.C. No.15 of 2018.
