1. The complainant availed a water connection of the opposite party. The complainant preferred this complaint challenging the disputed water charge arrear bill for Rs. 30,547/- dated 27-08-2013. The opposite party field a version stating that considering the reduced consumption of water by the complainant, they have revised the above bill amount to Rs. 9,265/-.
2. During the proceedings in this Forum, the learned counsel for the complainant expressed the willingness of the complainant to remit the amount as per the revised bill provided the opposite party grants instalments for the same. Seemingly, the request of the complainant is genuine and reasonable. So, we are only to allow the same.
3. Accordingly, we partly allow the complaint and direct as follows :-
The complainant shall pay the amount of Rs. 9,265/- to the opposite party in 10 equal monthly instalments starting from 01-02-2014, failing which the opposite party is free to proceed legally. In that case, the order in I.A. No. 524/2013 will not stand in the way for the opposite party to proceed with legally.
The order in I.A. No. 524/2013 dated 01-10-2013 would be in force till the above time limit.
The order shall be complied with, in line with the above directions.
