  1. Complainant’s  case in brief is that he is regular consumer of Jharkhand Bijali Vitran Nigam, Chas, Bokaro vide consumer No. NS-34-03860 and living in a village area. Further case is that earlier he was paying Bijali Bill regularly but for the month of Oct. 2021 exorbitant bill was supplied hence he approached O.Ps. for its correction but inspite of repeated requests his bill was not corrected rather without installation of electric meter, meter reading is being shown in the bill, hence this case has been filed with prayer to direct the O.Ps. to correct the bill for the month of Oct. 2021 and regularize the previously issued bills and also to pay Rs. 1,00,000/- compensation for various types of harassment and to  pay Rs. 20,000/- as legal expense.
  2. In spite of due service of notice O.Ps. have not appeared hence case is being proceeded ex-parte against them vide order dt. 08.10.2022.
  3. In support of the case complainant has filed copy of the Energy Bill dt. 15.09.2021, 22.11.2021  (Annexure-1) which shows meter reading and it is contrary to the case of the complainant that no electric meter has been installed at his residence. Copy of application dt. 27.11.2021 and 06.10.2022 has also been filed by which complainant has raising his grievance before Assistant Engineer and Executive Engineer of Electricity Department respectively but grievance of the complainant has not been redressed. In the given facts we are of the view that this case is liable to be disposed off with following directions to the O.Ps.:-

Accordingly this case is being disposed off with direction to O.Ps. to consider the grievance of the complainant and redress it within 60 days from receipt/production of copy of this order and also to supply copy of all papers to the complainant in respect to action takenwith due receipt.
