The District forum allowed the complaint and awarded compenation of Rs.32,000/- under items no.1, 2 and 7 only.  Rs.7,000/- were awarded towards mental pain and Rs.5,000/- towards costs.

On an appeal filed by the petitioner, the State Commission upheld the order passed by the District Forum on merits and while doing so, dismissed the application for condonation of delay              of 42 days as well.

We agree with the view taken by the fora below.  The fora below have awarded a compensation for the loss of only for clothes and certain personal belongings and nothing else which, in our view, is quite reasonable.  No interference is called for in the impugned order.  Dismissed.  No costs.
