- Complaint grievance is that the complainants, sisters, handed over an amount of Rs.70,000/- to the opposite parties for merchandise for re-sale. When the merchandise reached the complainants, they found that the said products, contrary to assurance that they were house hold articles, were medicinal products.
- On going through the pleadings, it has to come to light that the complainants will not fall within the definition of complainant as contemplated under the Act. The purchase was intended for re-sale.
- Hence, we directed the complainants to be present on 14/10/2022 and explained the above facts.
- This complaint, therefore, is not maintainable and hence is dismissed in limine.
