The complaint has been filed by the complainant U/S 12 of Consumer Protection Act 1986 alleging deficiency in service on the part of the opposite party bank in not informing the freezing of the complainant’s account along with the direction to pay a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- towards compensation for deficiency in service, mental agony with interest at 24% and cost of the proceedings.
Though the complaint was filed in 2019 till date the complainant has not come forward to appear and to file proof affidavit along with documents in support of his case. Sufficient opportunities were given but the complainant did not appear. Hence we are of the view that there is no purpose in keeping the complaint alive. Hence complaint dismissed for non prosecution. No cost.
This order was pronounced by us in the open Commission on this 31th May 2022.
