AWARD

1.   Vide his separate statement recorded on 05.12.2023, Sh.Chetan Gupta, Counsel for OP No.1 has stated that the matter has been settled between the parties and as per settlement, the OP No.1 shall pay a lumpsum amount of Rs.7499/- to the complainant within a period of 30 days from 05.12.2023 in full and final settlement of the present matter, failing which the OP No.1 shall be liable to pay the aforesaid amount alongwith interest @ 9% p.a. from the date of filing of present consumer complaint. Vide his separate statement recorded on 05.12.2023, Sh.Alankar Narula, Complainant has admitted the aforesaid statement made by counsel for OP No.1 and prayed that the complaint be disposed of in terms of aforesaid settlement in National Lok Adalat.

2.   In view of the statements made by the counsel for OP No.1 as well as complainant and in terms of the settlement, the complaint stands disposed of by passing the following order:-

1. OP No.1 shall pay a lumpsum amount of Rs.7499/- to the complainant within a period of 30 days from 05.12.2023.
2. In case OP No.1 fails to pay the aforesaid amount within the stipulated period, then OP No.1 shall be liable to pay the same alongwith interest @ 9% p.a. from the date of filing of present consumer complaint i.e. 31.03.2021 till the payment is made.

3.   The award is accordingly passed.

4.   Certified copies of this order be sent to the parties free of cost. The file be consigned.
