ORDER

This revision petition has been filed by the revision petitioner/Opposite Party, against the orders dated 10.10.2017 and 28.11.2017 passed by District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum-I, UT, Chandigarh, vide which, costs of Rs.5,000/- & Rs.2,000/- were imposed upon the Opposite Party.

                   We are of the opinion that imposition of cost(s) on the very first date before the expiry of mandatory period to the revision petitioner/Opposite Party to file reply and evidence/affidavit was not justified.                

                   At the very outset, Sh. Birinder Singh, Advocate,  Counsel for the respondents/complainants very fairly stated that imposition of costs of Rs.5000/- & Rs.2000/- vide orders dated 10.10.2017 & 28.11.2017 passed by District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum-I, UT, Chandigarh be set aside.

                   In view of above, the revision petition is allowed. Orders dated 10.10.2017 & 28.11.2017, under challenge, are set aside. It is expected that the Forum shall decide the matter expeditiously.

                   We are happy such a fair concession has been given.

                   It is stated by Counsel for the revision petitioner/Opposite Party that reply has already been filed before the Forum. She states that evidence/affidavit will be filed within seven days from today.

                   Parties/their Counsel are directed to appear before the Forum on the date already fixed i.e. 12.03.2017.

                   Certified copies of this order be sent to the parties, free of charge.

                   Complete record alongwith a certified copy of this order be sent to the Forum, immediately, so as to reach there before the date fixed.

                   File be consigned to the Record Room after completion.
