AWARD

1.   Vide his separate statement recorded on 07.02.2024, Sh.Tarunjit Singh Grewal, Counsel for OP has stated that the matter has been settled between the parties and as per settlement, the OP shall pay a lumpsum amount of Rs.1,12,434/- to the complainant within a period of 21 days from 07.02.2024 in full and final settlement of the present matter, failing which the OP shall be liable to pay the aforesaid amount alongwith interest @ 9% p.a. from the date of filing of present consumer complaint. Vide his separate statement recorded on 07.02.2024, Sh.Jagan Nath Bhandari, Counsel for Complainant has admitted the aforesaid statement of counsel for OP and prayed that the complaint be disposed of in terms of aforesaid settlement in Upbhokta Lok Adalat.

2.   In view of the statements made by the counsels for the parties and in terms of the settlement, the complaint stands disposed of by passing the following order:-

1. OP shall pay a lumpsum amount of Rs.1,12,434/- to the complainant within a period of 21 days from 07.02.2024.
2. In case OP fails to pay the aforesaid amount within the stipulated period, then OP shall be liable to pay the same alongwith interest @ 9% p.a. from the date of filing of present consumer complaint i.e. 18.11.2021 till the payment is made.

3.   The award is accordingly passed.

4.   Certified copies of this order be sent to the parties free of cost. The file be consigned.
