ORDER

Judgment/Order:

The brief of the complaint is that Jayanta kr. Baruah, complainant sent an application letter to secy. SBI staff cooperative society, shillong through Asom Commercial courier service pvt ltd Pasighat branch, opp. party in march 1995. After 1 month of the booking/post, the complainant learned from a source that his letter was withheld in the opp.party’s office for last 1 month. As the letter was of very urgent nature, the complainant when to the office and found it still un-despatched with the reason that there is no courier service branch at Shillong. So this complain.

Forum heard both the parties and directed the opp. party to refund the booking charge of Rs.10 along with compensation of Rs.2000
