ORDER

            The applicant-OP filed application for deposit of 50% amount awarded in terms of the order of the Hon’ble State Commission. As per the order dated 1.5.2012 passed by the Hon’ble State Commission, UT Chandigarh, in FA No.119 of 2012, ‘the operation of the impugned order is stayed, qua the appellant, subject to deposit of 50% of the total amount, awarded in this case, with the concerned District Forum, within 20 days, including the one already deposited, at the time of filing the appeal and after the amount is deposited, the District Forum shall deposit the same, in the shape of F.D.R. in a Nationalized Bank, for a period of one year, to be renewed from time to time, if needed. It has been further stated that the amount of the F.D.R. alongwith interest thereon, shall be paid to the party, which ultimately succeeds in the lis. As per office report, the application alongwith banker cheque of Rs.25,000/- received on 18.5.2012.   

            The office is directed to deposit the banker cheque of Rs.25,000/- (No.956749, dated 18.5.2012 drawn on State Bank of Patiala) in the bank account of the Forum and the amount so collected be deposited in the shape of F.D.R. in a Nationalized Bank, for a period of one year, to be renewed from time to time, if needed, in compliance of the order dated 1.5.2012 passed by the Hon’ble State Commission in FA No.119 of 2012. However, it is made clear that the amount is deficient by Rs.11,500/-, per calculation sheet, made by office, on the file. Office to note and make necessary entry in the record. The application stands disposed of accordingly

            Certified copies of this order free of cost be supplied to the parties. Be tagged with the main file.
