ORDER
SRI.P.V.JAYARAJAN: PRESIDENT
This is a complaint filed under section 12 of Consumer Protection Act 1986 and the matter stood over to this date for consideration.After hearing the matter the commission passed an order as follows:
This is a complaint filed by the complainant against the opposite party alleging deficiency in service on the part of the opposite party. After admitting the complaint notice was issued to the opposite party. The opposite party entered appearance and filed written version denying the allegation raised by the complainant. When the case came up for consideration on 04/03/2023 both parties submitted that there is a chance of settlement and hence the matter was referred to mediation. When the case came up for consideration today, both parties submitted that the matter is settled for Rs.1,00,000/-. A compromise memo dated 20/05/2023 singed by both parties is also filed before this Commission. As per the compromise the opposite party has agreed to pay Rs. 1,00,000/- to the complainant within 2 months from today. The compromise memo dated 20/05/2023 is accepted and recorded. In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties to the proceedings, we find that this is a fit case to be allowed in favour of the complainant in terms of compromise.
In the result complaint is allowed in terms of compromise. The compromise memo dated 20/05/2023 will form part of this order.
A copy of this order as per the statutory requirements be forwarded to the parties free of charge and thereafter the file be consigned to the record room.
