  1. The complainant deposited Rs.8500/- on 28.5.2018 vide receipt No.34042241472 , Certificate No.467004209283 under Scheme SUPER EB matured on 25.05.2021 with maturity value Rs.28,000/- . Another certificate No.467004209282 of Rs.11,500/- Deposited on 25.5.2018 with maturity date 25.5.2021 and maturity value of Rs.42,000/-. The complainant visited several time to O.P.No.2, approached the agent but it was in vain. The complainant is a poor women and out of hard saving fixed deposits are made.

          Being aggrieved this complaint was filed.

  1. The O.Ps have been set ex-parte.
  2. After perusal of the documents filed it reveals that the maturity date of fixed deposits No.467004209282 and 467004209283 was 25.5.2021 and till date no payment has been made to the complainant. Non payment of dues of the complainant in time is not only harassment to the complainant but also the complainant sustained financial loss along with insecurity in social life. It amounts to deficiency in service of the Opp.Parties.

Accordingly, it is ordered:

                                                          ORDER

The complaint is allowed exparte against the Opp.Parties. The Opp.Parties are directed to pay maturity value of Rs.42,000/- + Rs.28,000/- in total Rs.70,000/- with 12% interest P.A w.e.f 25.5.2021. For harassment and deficiency in service the Opp.Parties are liable to pay Rs.50,000/- compensation and ,litigation expenses of Rs.5,000/-. In case of non payment within one month of this order, the entire amount will cover 14% interest per annum till realisation.

Order pronounced in the open Court today on 1st day of May, 2023.
