  1. The case of the Complainant is that the Complainant is a consumer of the OP and has kept money of Rs. 6000/- dtd. 14.12.2018 and Rs. 40,000/- dtd. 14.12.2018 in the Branch office of the OP. After maturity the agreed amount are Rs. 14,160/- and Rs. 96,284/- on dtd 14.12.2021.She did not get back her money after its matured date. After maturity date, the Complainant attended the Branch office at Dhanupali, Sambalpur Branch to receive the said maturity amount but the branch Manager denied to pay the same due to instruction of the OP No. 1 and given written assurance to the Complainant to attend the office after 3 years. After April, 2021 again the Complainant had gone to the Branch office of the OP but found that the Branch office is closed. The Complainant finding no alternative filing the case before this Hon’ble Commission about deficiency of service of the Ops.
  2. The OP No. 2 is set exparte and the OP No. 1 is absent.
  3. After perusal of the case record and evidences it is found that due to unfair trade practice and deficiency of service of the OPs, the Complainant could not get his maturity deposit amount within the stipulated time period. Accordingly it is ordered

The Complaint Petition filed by the Complainant is allowed on contest and exparte against O.P. No.2. The O.Ps are directed to pay Rs. 1,10,446/- to the Complainant which would have given to the Complainant as maturity amount of her deposited amounts along with 6% interest from the date of maturity i.e 14.12.2021,Rs. 50,000/- towards deficiency in service , mental agony and suffering as compensation to the Complainant and Rs. 2,000/- towards litigation expensesto the Complainant within 30 days from the date of this Order, failing which the amount will carry interest @ 9% per annum till realization.

Order pronounced in the open Court today on 13th day of March, 2023.
