The complainant has approached the respondents, but they have failed to give any satisfactory reply in this regard and this wrongful act of the respondents have caused unnecessary mental agony and harassment to the complainant. So, he has come to this Forum and has filed the present complaint.
2. In reply, the respondents have submitted that on 25.5.2015 the official of the respondents have visited the premises of the complainant. One Devender son of Dalip has made a complaint before the respondents that Anil son of Dayanand has removed the meter from his house and has installed the same in his house and account no.TK-11325 is old number and new number is BG-172348. The officials of the respondents visited the premises and they found that the meter has been moved from the house of Devender son of Dalip Singh. The respondents moved the meter and has disconnected the connection and prepared PDCO. Notice was given to Anil regarding his illegal act. To avoid any action against him by the respondents, the complainant has filed the false and frivolous complaint against the respondents and has prayed for the dismissal of the same.
3. We have heard the arguments advanced by both the parties and have perused the entire relevant documents available on the case file very carefully and minutely.
4. Ld. Counsel for the complainant has submitted that the respondents in the absence of the complainant, wrongly and illegally has removed the electricity meter from the complainant’s house and has disconnected the electricity connection and that amounts to a grave deficiency in service on the part of the respondents.
Ld. Counsel for the respondents has argued his case. But in our view, the ends of justice would be fully met if some directions are given to the respondents. Thus, we hereby direct the respondents to install the electricity meter out side the house of the complainant or on the electricity pole as per rules of the Nigam. The respondents are further directed to make the compliance of this order within one month from the date of passing of this order, failing which, the law will take its own recourse.
With these observations, findings and directions, the present complaint stands disposed off.
