1. The Case of the Complainant is that the Complainant has deposited his money by way of savings deposit and also borrows money by way of crop loan the from Opposite party No.1, IDBI Bank, Bargarh Branch as hence the Complainant is the Consumer of Opposite Party No.1. On Dt. 22/07/2019 and dt. 31/12/2018 vide Account ID. No. 0746651100005265 the Complainant deposited Rs.2000/-(Rupees two thousand) and Rs. 2000/-(Rupees two thousand) only respectively, for availing benefit under  Kharif and Rabi crop insurance. In the year 2018 and 2019, the crops of the different farmers of the locality including the Complainant had been severally damaged as such the Complainant is entitled for the crop insurance benefit. The Complainant did not get any information regarding eligibility criteria of crop insurance benefits from Opposite party No.1 and also no information has been given Opposite party No.2 regarding the deposit of crop insurance deposit by the Complainant. The Complainant  had verbally requested at request intervals regarding this matter but the Opposite parties remained silent. As the Opposite parties did not render necessary service for which the Complainant did not get the benefit, being harassed the Complainant filed this Complaint before this Commission.
2. Opposite PartyNo.1 IDBI Bank, Bargarh Branch and Opposite party No.2, Oriental insurance Company Ltd, Bhubaneswar did not appear and set exparte on 28/07/2022.
3. Perused the documents filed by the Complaiannt. The Complainant has filed  IDBI A/c. no. 0746651100005265 in the name of Chundru Kasi Viswantham of village Kuruan, Ps. Bargarh. In the said account on Dt.31/12/2018 an amount of Rs.2000/-(Rupees two thousand) only towards Kharif Insurance has been paid towards insurance premium. Correspondence has been to District Agricultural Officer, Bargarh, further a pleader notice on Dt. 28/11/2020 was also sent to Opposite party No.1 and 2 remained silent. After necessary due notices.
4. After careful examination of the documents filed by the Complainant it is observed  that an amount has been deposited by the Complainant under PMFBY, it is the duty  of the Opposite Party No.1 to upload all the details of the Complainant to get crop insurance benefit under the scheme.

It is observed that Rs. 2000/-(Rupees two thousand) only twice only premium has been paid by the Complaiannt whereas the Opposite party No.1 has not uttered a single word on the premium paid,  so taking into consideration the harassment made to the Complainant and deficiency of service by Opposite party No.1 the Complainant is entitled for the relief.

      Accordingly it is ordered.

The Complaint is allowed exparte against Opposite party No.1 and 2. The Opposite Party No.1 is directed to pay compensation claim of Rs. 2,00,000/-(Rupees two lakh) only  along with 5% intrest w.e.f. 31/12/2018 within one month, from the date of order, failing which the amount will carry 7% intrest P.A. till realization.

Litigation cost of  Rs. 10,000/-(Rupees ten thousand) only to paid in addition.
